November Monthly Favourites 2016

Don’t worry, I’m not even going to begin with how quickly this month went so let’s go and get into my November Monthly Favourites 2016. Compared to other months, I have a feeling that this post is going to look quite tiny and to be honest with you, it’s because I didn’t really use all that much makeup in November. I had two mini trips and decided not to bring my makeup. But, the makeup faves that I do have are super good.

November Monthly Favourites 2016

november-faves-2016

In November, I’ve tried my best to put down my contour kits and focus on individual bronzer or contour shades. The one that I’ve been enjoying the most is Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer*. I keep going through situations where I ask people what their contour shade is because it’s looking amazing, and they often reply with ‘HOOLA’! So that’s the main reason why I’ve really been getting use out of this one. It is slightly warmer than my other contour shades but it blends like a dream. I like to use Hoola when I do my liquid foundation routine and something a little cooler when I do my weekday, work makeup routine.

This month I’ve also loved gravitating towards a less intense, more natural highlighter. I’ve loved using the Josie Maran Cosmetics Argan Enlightenment Illuminising Wand*. It’s a gorgeous light, champagne shade that looks like it’s going to be very pigmented. But, when you swipe your finger on the product and apply it directly to the skin, it gives the most delicate, natural looking highlight. If you’re someone who has immaculate skin and can even get away with just concealer, brows, highlight etc, you’d absolutey love this!

Chloe Morello Beauty Haul has been the only eyeshadow palette that I used this entire month. There’s something so magical about it and I really hope that they restock it again so you can pick one up too. This palette has the perfect amount of shimmer and matte shades. The variety of colours is great and I find myself experimenting, which is something I barely do. I can’t recommend this palette enough. To see my review on the Chloe Morello Beauty Haul click here.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – Pore Minimizing was featured in my The Best Makeup For Oily Skin post and for good reasons. It feels like silicone, but immediately turns into a powder finish once on the skin. It makes such a big difference with the longevity of my makeup and it’s the only primer that really helps my pores vanish.

Avène Tolerance Emulsion* is an amazing moisturiser for those of you with oily or combination skin. It’s made from Avène thermal spring water, feels quite moisturising but sinks straight into the skin. I’ve really enjoyed using it at night time as the last step in My Simplified Skincare Routine.

YSL Mon Paris* has been my go to scent for most of this month. Melbourne weather has been definitely playing up because we’re about to enter Summer here and have so far only had one day over 30 (C), which is around 86 (F). Mon Paris has been perfect because I feel like it’s a lovely type of sweet that fits in between seasons.
