MINXX Liquid Lipsticks* have been popping up all around the blogosphere lately, so my curiosity was very high. After being contacted to choose a few shades, I thought why not pop them into a review with swatches. This way, you’ll see whether you want to pick them up too!

MINXX is an Australian concept brand, that prides themselves on being cruelty free and paraben free. Currently, they offer Lipsticks and Liquid Lipsticks.
From their Liquid Lipsticks range, I chose five shades. Although they are called liquid lipsticks, I personally feel as if they’re more of a very pigmented lip gloss. The reason why I think this is because they act the way that lip glosses do, well to me anyway. They’re fairly sticky, shiny and need application after eating as they move about. I personally like to use a lipstick first and then top them off with one of these liquid lipsticks. One thing I wanted to quickly mention is that on the MINXX website if you click Liquid Lipsticks, the link redirects to the heading of lip gloss, but the liquid lipstick products pop up in the results. Not really sure what that all means but I thought it was interesting enough to share.
The way that the formula works and feels is overall really nice. They also smell like Candy which is always a plus! For me, all of the shades applied beautifully and evenly, except for Arouse. If you apply these liquid lipsticks straight to the lips, you probably get to 75% opacity so you can still see a bit of your lips underneath. My favourite shade of the five is probably Sassy.
Overall, I think these products are fairly nice. If you’re looking for a liquid lipstick that dries and lasts a while, these probably aren’t for you. But if you’re into a glossy look, you’d probably really like these because they feel very comfortable on the lips. I would suggest having a look for online swatches of the particular shade that you want, just so you can suss out the formula for that particular shade.
The MINXX Liquid Lipsticks can be purchased for $32 AUD from their website here.
