The Chloe Morello Beauty Haul From Ciate London is quite an exciting release here in Australia as Chloe Morello is one of the original Australian YouTubers that we’ve basically all fallen in love with. I know that when I found out she was releasing a palette, I had to have it. I set my alarm for a makeup release, which is something I’ve never done before.
This entire haul was actually released October the 13th and it sold out in under a day. Mecca Maxima has since announced that they are re-releasing the palette, tomorrow the 4th of November at 7:30am AEST. There is only 500 available, so you need to be quick! I don’t have an exact link to give you, but this is the search for Chloe Morello on the Mecca website, so you can save it as a bookmark if you’d like.
As you can see from the photos, this beauty haul contains the Ciate Pretty, Fun and Fearless Palette, all packaged up in a Ciate London clutch.
The Pretty, Fun and Fearless Palette itself contains 15 shades in total made up of 6 shimmers and 9 matte shades. Overall consistency of this palette reminds me quite a lot of my Lorac Pro. There is a little bit of fall out with the shadows, so you need to use a light hand when you get the product from the pans, onto your brush. Comparing the matte and shimmer shades, I can definitely say that the matte shades are smoother and apply better than the shimmers. For me, I need to apply the shimmers using my finger for the pigmentation that I like. To be entirely honest though, that isn’t an issue for me as that is what I’m completely used to. Whenever I apply shimmers, this palette or any other palette, I just find that no brush does the job.
My favourite shades in this palette are probably Jet Setter, Day Dream and Fierce. I honestly had no idea that I would gravitate towards those shades, but that’s what’s been happening and what I’ve been loving! That’s actually one thing that I love about this palette. The variety is insane. I’m usually someone that sticks to a predominantly silver eyeshadow look, but this palette really pushes me out of my comfort zone, in a subtle way. None of the shadows are too bold where they’re scary, and they all blend like a dream. For me, I usually pick one of the lighter colours, chuck it in my crease. I slap a shimmer all over the lid, pick a darker colour to obviously darken it up, and that’s about it. I’ve tried a few combinations and some how, they all seem to look great.
The Mini Liquid Velvet that comes in this haul is in the shade Pinup. Unfortuantely, I don’t think that this shade is for me. I found that it applies a little messily on my lips and doesn’t quite cooperate with me. Mind you, I’m also biased because I hate really bold shades on my lips. The formula is actually quite lovely though so I’m definitely open to trying out other Ciate liquid lipstick shades.
Last up makeup wise in this beauty haul is the Wonderland Mascara. Although I’m usually a sucker for waterproof mascaras, this one actually does a pretty good job on my lashes without the waterproof title. I found that it separates my lashes quite nicely, whilst also providing a bit of volume and oomph. I do like to layer it with a waterproof mascara too, just because I’m a creature of habit with 0 lashes. But, if you’re someone who has okay to great lashes, you’ll love this.
I guess the little cherry on top is that it all comes in a really cute clutch. I think it’s the perfect size for a little overnight makeup stash, and to be honest with you, I’d probably rock it at other times too.
If you want it, pick it up ASAP from Mecca Maxima for $70 before it’s gone forever!
