Becca Cosmetics is back again with another gorgeous product so of course it has found its way onto my blog. Say hello to Becca’s newest baby, their Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder*.
I was very intriged because when it comes to using powder on my face, it’s only a powder foundation or a loose translucent powder to set my face. I don’t think I have dabbled into powders that come in a compact for probably over 3-4 years.
Left to right: Fair | Light | Beige | Tan | Warm Honey | Dark Golden | Deep Bronze
What exactly is this product and what can it be used for? Well, apparently whatever you please! Becca hasn’t really specified an exact spot to use these products. We’ve been encouraged to really play around and find what we like the most. The uses that I can think of are all over the face foundation, setting powder, matte highlight, contour, bronzer, or eye shadow. The list is probably endless and I’m sure you can think of a few other uses too.
Every shade that I swatched felt the exact same. They were all very fine, silky smooth powders. All of the colours showed up beautifully on my skin and I was actually surprised that I could see the lighter shades as they usually never pop up.
What do I use these powders for? Well, having so many shades makes this product quite versatile. For all over my face I would opt for Fair. I tried using Light as a matte highlighter but I’m not entirely sure if matte highlighters suit me. Still playing around with it! I also tried using Deep Bronze VERY lightly as a contour. I picked Deep Bronze as it was a little cooler than the other darker shades on my skin.
The only thing to be wary of which I should have hopefully drawn your attention to by a photo, is the difference in size between this product and regular Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors. These powders are small. For more of a perspective, the skin perfectors hold 0.35oz or 10g of product while these powders only hold 0.2oz or 5.66g of product. I personally think this is quite silly because the life span of a highlighter is far longer than a powder. You only use a little highlighter and you use a lot of powder, especially if you decide that this is your hioly grail for setting down your entire face. I have my fingers crossed that they will release these powders in a larger size.
Have you tried Becca’s Multi-Tsaking Perfecting Powder before?
