Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick Swatched and Reviewed

Have you ever seen an amazing giveaway on Instagram or Facebook and thought, ‘Hmm, I don’t think I’ll win, but I’ll just enter anyway and hope for the best’? Well, that happens to me quite a lot! I saw this competition on instagram and thought okay, let’s go for it, and I actually won! I struck gold (or caviar), with this Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick Collection* from Laura Mercier and David Jones.

I was so excited to receive them so I decided to swatch and review them in a post for you today

Top to bottom: Rosegold | Moonlight, | Copper | Amethyst | Cocoa | Khaki

As you can see, each of the caviar sticks swatch effortlessly. There is absolutely zero drag marks and each colour is very pigmented. They do dry in place, but you have a good window to smudge or blur them around. Longevity wise, I can probably get an amazing 6 hours of use before a bit of creasing.

My favourite colours would have to be Rosegold and Moonlight. I love using them as bases and following up with a similar eyeshadow shade. But honestly, they’re all gorgeous.

As this kit only contains mini-sizes, you’d think that they would run out quickly. Wrong! You only need the teeniest amount so they’ll last you quite some time. I will say that I am 100% going to repurchase my favourite colours, when they do eventually run out.

Bold statement but, these are the best eye shadow bases I have ever used.

This mini set is $55 and can be purchasedĀ instore at David Jones. Alternatively, each Caviar stick can be purchased in full size for $39 each.

What do you think of these products from how they swatch?
Are there any other eye stick’s that you’d like to suggest?
